Join a network of public benefit organisations championing female athletes. Together we connect people who care about women's sport with the athletes and communities you already serve.
Why join
New supporters
Brands and donors who want to back women's sport, introduced through our partner network.
Selection done with you
We run the grant intake and shortlist; you sit on the panel for athletes in your focus disciplines and provinces.
Reporting that works for you
Clear reporting in a format your trustees and your own funders can use.
Clear agreements
How we work together is agreed up front, in writing, and built around the athletes.
How it works

We confirm your registration and agree, in writing, how we will work together.
- 3

Supporters give through you, the athletes you help select reach their start lines, and we share the story together.
Questions PBOs ask
What does joining the PBO network involve?
You stay independent. We verify your PBO and Section 18A status, agree in writing how we work together (a memorandum of understanding), and route philanthropic contributions for athletes in your focus area through you. You issue the receipts and report disbursement; we handle selection and reporting.
Who issues the Section 18A receipts?
You do. Here for the Women's Race SA (Pty) Ltd is a company, so it cannot issue Section 18A receipts. Philanthropic contributions are made to you, earmarked for the programme, and you issue the receipt.
What do we need to join?
Registration with SARS as a Public Benefit Organisation, with a PBO reference number; Section 18A approval in force (or applied for and acknowledged); a sport, youth or community development object in your founding document; and a named signatory and bank account in the organisation's name, with the capacity to issue receipts and report on disbursement. Verification takes about ten working days.
