    We run the grant intake and shortlist; you sit on the panel for athletes in your focus disciplines and provinces.

    Pass-through means pass-through. Administrative costs are agreed in the MOU, published on the Impact page, and never deducted from a grant.

What you need

Four things, all of which you probably already have.

  1. 1Registered as a Public Benefit Organisation with SARS, with a PBO reference number.
  2. 2Section 18A approval in force, with the approval letter to hand (or pending, with the application acknowledged).
  3. 3A sport, youth or community development object in your founding document.
  4. 4A named signatory, a bank account in the organisation's name, and the capacity to issue receipts and report disbursement.

Verification to MOU in three steps

    Verify

    You submit the form below. We check PBO and 18A status against SARS records and your documents. Ten working days.

  2. 2

    Sign

    We send the pass-through grant MOU: how funds arrive, how they leave, what you report, what we report. Your trustees sign; ours sign.

  3. 3

    Disburse

    Philanthropic donors give to you, earmarked for our programme. You issue the Section 18A receipt, pay the athlete costs we have selected together, and report quarterly.

What does joining the PBO network involve?

You stay independent. We verify your PBO and Section 18A status, sign a pass-through MOU, and route philanthropic grants for athletes in your focus area through you. You issue the receipts and report disbursement; we handle selection and reporting.
