Who we are

Here for the Women's Race SA (Pty) Ltd ("we") is the responsible party under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). Contact: hello@hereforthewomensrace.org.za.

What we collect and why

• Grant applications: name, contact details, age band, province, sport, story, budget, links you give us. Used to assess and administer grants, and to report anonymised impact figures. Kept for five years after the relevant cycle.
• PBO verification: organisation details, SARS PBO reference, Section 18A documentation, signatory contact details. Used to verify status and administer the pass-through MOU. Kept for the life of the partnership plus five years.
• Partner enquiries and contact messages: name, work email, phone, message. Used to reply. Kept for two years.
• Newsletter: email address. Used to tell you about drops and events. Unsubscribe any time via the link in each email.
• Shop orders: handled by our commerce provider when the store opens; a separate notice will apply.

Where it is stored

Form submissions are stored in Cloudflare's D1 database and R2 storage, in the European Union region, under a data processing agreement. We do not sell personal information and do not use tracking advertising cookies on this site.

Sharing

Grant application details are shared with grant panel members and, for philanthropic grants, with the partner PBO disbursing the funds. Corporate funders receive verification and impact reports that use only the information you consent to share.

Your rights

You may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to processing, by emailing hello@hereforthewomensrace.org.za. You may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa).
